As the name of the company already says: SLM Solutions is widely known as the inventor of Selective Laser Melting and we were the first in the market to establish multi-laser systems as the technical standard in 3d printing. Over the years, we have secured more than 100 patents, which stand for more productivity and quality. This is why each employee sees himself in the tradition of pioneering innovative and productive technology.
Smart brains find an agile environment with us
Agile is considered the opposite of clumsy, sluggish, rigid. What does that means for our teamwork? With agile methods we try to break up cumbersome planning and to be open for change. Our teams are constantly working on making workflows easier and simpler as well as reducing excessive bureaucracy to a reasonable level.

We have probably been on the market a little too long to be a start-up. However, we combine all characteristics of a start-up – such as agile work, flat hierarchies and the flexibility to react quickly to market requirements – with the experience and professionalism of a company listed on the stock exchange. Work and atmosphere
Our more than 400 employees at SLM Solutions come from over 20 different nations. We communicate with our international colleagues mainly in English and we have learned how to treat each other with respect across different cultures.
We moved in our beautiful headquarters in Lübeck, Germany, in Mai 2018 and we are happy about a modern building, which offers enough space and facilities for working together with colleagues, state-of-the-art technology and a great working atmosphere.
