Your way into the team
What happens when we receive your application documents for an advertised position or apprenticeship place?
First of all, you will receive a confirmation from our application system so that you can make sure that we have received your documents.
In a first step, we will check if what you bring with you is suitable for the advertised position. If your professional qualifications do not match our requirements for the position, you will receive a message from us very quickly. In this case, you are welcome to set up our Job Alert. You will receive an e-mail when new positions are advertised and maybe there is a suitable position for you next time.
If we think your profile is suitable and exciting, our recruiting team will give you a call and invite you to a first interview, either virtually or personally at our office in Lübeck, Germany.
In our interview we pay a lot of attention to the fact that you feel comfortable with us. Your interviewees conduct the interviews with respect and create a good discussion atmosphere. In the beginning, we want to get to know you, learn about your motivation and understand whether you could fit into SLM and whether SLM is the right employer for you. The reason is that we know that both must be right to ensure success and fun in the job.
After our first interview, in which we learned more about you and you got to know your contacts and your role at SLM Solutions, we will move on to the second round, if everything fits up to that point. Here we will once again have a more intensive technical discussion with you. If necessary, we will also provide you with a small technical task, which you will present to us and discuss with us.
If the second meeting also went well and both sides are interested in working together, then we will decide. Good leadership is particularly important to us at SLM. That’s why positions with leadership responsibility can be followed by an assessment, with a focus on leadership and control, but also in this case we are usually able to make decisions quickly.
